Training Agenda

SprayLogger training agenda for Kansas

This agenda follows the Kansas on-site training schedule for Ellis County Noxious Weed Department, conducted by AgTerra Technologies in cooperation with Fairbank at 1681 250th Avenue, Hays, Kansas, on April 21, 2026.

8:00 AM – 8:15 AM
Introductions Welcome and overview of the agenda with Ellis County, AgTerra, and Fairbank.
8:15 AM – 9:15 AM
MapItFast and SprayLogger introduction The basics of using MapItFast and the SprayLogger extension, managing users and permissions, GIS mapping, adding proprietary map data, and using geofences for no-spray zones.
9:15 AM – 10:00 AM
SprayLogger account setup and configuration Setting up equipment, chemicals, targets, and people.
10:00 AM – 10:15 AM
Break A short break before the operational training sessions continue.
10:15 AM – 10:30 AM
Running a spray job Enabling SprayLogger and pairing a mobile device, starting a job, viewing and managing application data and weather from the mobile device, and syncing data.
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Generating spray reports Viewing and editing jobs and maps, plus generating reports and exports, including a Star system report.
11:00 AM – 11:45 AM
Hardware installation Configuring a rig aligned to an on-site rig, installing and wiring flow sensors and switches, calibration basics with and without flow sensors, and pointers from Fairbank.
11:45 AM – 12:00 PM
Hardware considerations on different spraying platforms Single and multiple channel flow and switch setups, multi-tank and injection system setups, hose reel setup, and backpack configuration.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Lunch Provided on site for attendees.
1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Live operation Mock spray operation for a typical applicator and spray job from beginning to end, including starting and stopping jobs, confirming data is recording and syncing correctly, troubleshooting, and generating reports and exporting maps.
After live operation
